METHOD OF PLAY

36-Hole, Team Competition

Day #1 - Four-Ball Stroke Play

Day #2 - Singles

 

Teams are comprised of 18 players from the Oklahoma Golf Association and 18 players from the Texas Golf Association, 36 players total. The 18 players representing each organization will comprise of 8 Mid-Ams, 6 Senior Ams, and 4 Women Mid-Ams.

 

Each Match will be worth a total of 3 points. 1 point for the Front Nine, 1 Point for Back Nine, & 1 Point for Overall.

 

In the event of a tie in the inaugural year, there will be a sudden-death playoff to determine a winning Organization. Playoff will be comprised of 1 Mid-Am, 1 Senior Am, & 1 Women's Mid Am player from each organization selected by the Captain playing singles sudden death. The organization that wins 2 of the 3 matches in sudden death will be the winner.

 

In the event of a tie in subsequent years, the organization that previous won will retain the Red River Rivalry Cup.

 

Conditions of the playoff will be announced on-site by the OGA/TGA Rules Committee.

Four-Ball Matches - 10:00 AM Tee Time Start

Open Bar - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Dinner & Singles Selections - 6:30 PM

Cash Bar During Dinner

 

Day #3

Singles Matches - 8:30 AM Tee Time Start

Awards Ceremony After Play

No Entry Fee

 

Players are responsible for hotels, breakfast, practice round cost, and cash bar drinks.
